Marlie de Swart is an accomplished and prolific fiber artist. For many years she operated Black Mountain Weavers/Artisans as a local artist’s cooperative.  She is on the board of directors of Fibershed and, in 2016, she published Knitting Woolscapes, a book of patterns and stories inspired by local yarns, places and people.   Marlie will discuss local fiber, specifically wool and alpaca, what we have in our immediate environment and how farms have changed.
