Rotarians, start your engines! District 5150 presents the Rotary Road Rally to END POLIO NOW!
Join us on World Polio Day: Saturday, October 24th, 8am-2pm. Road Rally 8am-12pm, Award Ceremony 12pm-2pm
Rotary International District 5150 invites you to support World Polio Day, on Saturday, October 24, 2020, to raise awareness, funds, and support to END POLIO, a vaccine-preventable and highly-contagious disease that still threatens children in parts of the world today. We are holding a Rotary Road Rally to End Polio Now with Rotarians, Friends of Rotary, and local community members. The Rotary Road Rally is a treasure hunt with a purpose, in your personal vehicle. Participants will follow fun, educational, and problem-solving clues to learn more about Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo Counties. Box lunch provided at the end of the rally. Tune into Facebook Live for a special message and award presentation by District Governor, Mary Bates.
This exciting event will take place in all three counties of our District: Marin, San Francisco, & San Mateo. Have you ever seen the Amazing Race? Think of a fun, scavenger hunt in the county of your choice. Clues will be funny, educational, and about Rotary & Polio! Participate as an individual or as a team. Teams can go up to the legal number of seatbelts per vehicle. Flags for the first 300 registrants (one flag per vehicle/team). A virtual option will be in place for those unable to attend in person. We will follow current state & local guidelines for COVID-19.
The event is open to all Rotarians & Non-Rotarians. Rotarians please register via ClubRunner and type in the Comments box the county in which you will participate for the Rally (San Mateo, San Francisco, Marin). If you plan to do the virtual option, type Virtual in the Comments box. All participants must be individually registered. By registering for this event, you agree to the terms of the waiver. Cost per person is a minimum $100 direct donation to The Rotary Foundation Polio Fund.

Payment of the minimum $100 donation to The Rotary Foundation for 18 year olds and under is highly encouraged, but not required. 18 year olds and under are required to register in ClubRunner for the event and type in the Comments box the county in which they will participate.
